Here are a few photos I took this morning. They turned out a bit grey and dark, but I thought I’d share anyways. It’s a pretty small venue, Halifax is a small city, but it’s nice to get around like-minded people. Maybe one day a McLaren P1 will show up or something...

Wow! There are more Nova Scotians here than I thought! And I thought I was one of the only ones! :D

Not a Haligonian, but I’m just outside of Mahone Bay! Wish there was a Cars and Coffee event closer to me! :D

I’m with ASCC, and I know at least a few of the rally guys, so I would guess we have some common acquaintances at least. Ever come out to the autoslalom events? Our next local one is June 15th at Scotia Speedworld (Wednesday evening event, probably 5pm - 8pm or so). There’ll be a thread posted on the ARMS forum under Solosport -> Autoslalom at some point with the details.

Most of our slaloms you can just show up on the day, but this next one will be preregistration only if you want to actually run, I expect because of the limited time window of the track booking.

I’m not in the BAC currently (i.e. my membership hasn’t been renewed in awhile) as I live near Mahone Bay...but a few years ago when I was in university, a friend of mine and I did a lot of the Time-Speed-Distance Rallies and placed high in the novice rankings, so that was pretty cool. :)

Would love to get to one of the Autocross events sometime! I’ve been to the rallycross events once or twice, so I’m sure it would be as much of a blast! :)

Hmm.. if you’re down by Mahone Bay, you might want to pop across for one of the days we’re at the Digby airport. July 1st, 2nd and 3rd - Friday is a school / test and tune, and Saturday and Sunday are each competition events. The test and tune is a great time to catch ride alongs with people if you’re so inclined (and not otherwise tied up on Canada Day), but it’s not a prerequisite for Saturday or Sunday.

It’s a 4000 foot runway, and the course usually uses 2/3 to 3/4 of it, along with the taxiway. :)
